Roberta, Frank, Ordinary Joe and 48 other bittersweet poems about love, loss and lamb bhuna

Bumfuzzle, the latest collection of poems from poet and musician Keith Wilson, is back from the printers, and went on its first outing to the Winter Arts Market at the end of last year (Saturday 7 December, in St George’s Hall, Liverpool). Described as a collection of bittersweet poems about love, loss and lamb bhuna, it contains more than 50 poems that’ll make you laugh and make you think. Mike McCartney says:

Look out! He’s messin’ round with werds again! Fascinating, outrageous and extremely funny!!

Consumate performer that he is, Keith’s been doing a series of gigs, combining his poetry with a belting rock ‘n roll line-up – and he made this film of poem Frenzy, based on a performance at Heswall Hall. Knock yourselves out:

John’s Children singer Andy Ellison says:

I love his music and I love his words. Sadness, beauty and an underlying truth, wrapped up in that wonderful Liverpudlian humour…

And here’s some more about Keith Wilson
Sharp-tongued poet, musician, playwright, TV presenter, philosopher and performer, Keith is colloquial, razor sharp and erudite. Lyrically smart, his words are drawn from life’s warp and weft and his music straddles an art-rock backdrop somewhere between Zappa’s improvisation and The Bonzo Dog Band’s post-music hall vibe. He’s funny and morose. Angry and incisive. His live work constantly shifts between stand up and stand out ferocity.

We’ll be organising a string of gigs and events throughout December and the new year, so keep your eyes here for more info about dates as we announce them…
