Bloom

Project Type: event, words, expertise, narrative

Bloom was Baltic Creative’s first ever day of good people, good businesses and good conversations (not to mention some great snacks), hosted at Camp and Furnace on 8 May. Wordscape helped to bring life to the entire event. We began working with Bloom last autumn, to create the initial narrative and vision for the event, as well as recruit for and organise the panels throughout the course of the day – including one of our very own, our graphic designer Holly Carter, speaking on the ‘next generation’ panel about purpose within creative endeavours.

We worked with the Baltic Creative team to establish the core of the brand, planting the seeds for the upcoming event and watching like a proud parent/event organiser as it, well, bloomed. Our existing relationship with the Baltic Creative – we’ve worked with them on a number of projects before, particularly for the British Council – meant that we already knew one another’s ethos, which allowed us to form a narrative, frame the conversation and truly create an event to inspire, encourage and evoke the germination of new ideas within local businesses and their practices. Bloom tapped into our knowledge of what people are talking about in the wider business community, and provided a space for these progressive conversations to be heard.
