Can Cook, Well-Fed is a fresh food business tackling food poverty, making sure anyone can eat well – regardless of income. Providing catering services to nurseries, schools and residential homes alongside its Well-Fed at Home Boxes, ready meals and slow cooker courses, Can Cook, Well-Fed makes getting good meals easy. They can cook, and they make sure everybody is well fed.
As spiralling prices hit the UK, family food budgets have been squeezed. But food determines how we live our lives and it keeps us healthy – or not, as the case may be. So, we worked with Can Cook, Well-Fed on It doesn’t have to be like this… a day of lively presentations, talks, debate and thinking to lift the lid on the current crisis and find new ways to make sure we can all afford to eat well and stay healthy. We created copy and graphics to spread the word about It doesn’t have to be like this… and helped to organise and run the event.
We followed up the conference with a Spring 2023 round table event with food experts from across Wales, and released a report we worked on with the Can Cook team in autumn 2023. Since then, we’ve collaborated with them on their GOOD report – discussing their journey so far, and where it leads to next, as well as much of the research involved – and now we’re in the midst of creating their Zero-UPF (Ultra Processed Foods) campaign, intent on removing all UPFs from foods countrywide. Can Cook, Well-Fed are already 100% UPF-free, and now they’re encouraging all other food businesses to take a bite out of their book.
Our ongoing management of the Can Cook, Well-Fed social media platforms means that Can Cook, Well-Fed’s message and the important work the team does are communicated effectively, while the meals continue to change lives. We work with them on films, social clips, infographics and insights to bring the realities of a broken food system – and how we can address it – to life.
