2023 was our Year of Action. We created a year-long campaign, based around monthly themes and weekly challenges, all in aid of promoting and participating in making actionable changes that did a little good. It was made to drive awareness. To strip away the overwhelm that comes with the phrase “change the world” and rewrite it as “change your world, with small and incremental changes that will stack up and, if we all get involved, will ultimately make the world, as a whole, better.”

The Year of Action set out micro actions that anyone could slot into their daily lives and start making an impact throughout 2023. The challenge was big, but so are we when we come together. 12 months, 12 themes. 52 weeks, 52 actions. A Year of Action was our (collective) way of sharing the actions we’re taking for the environment and people’s wellbeing – and many Ethos partners got involved and shared their ideas along the way. 

An idea born from Fiona’s Master’s thesis and a conversation Andrew had with a contact, evolving into a master plan. We created a website for the campaign, and a set of cards based on the weekly actions, made for clients at Christmas. This year, 2024, our Year of Action has donned its green cloak and become a year of Green Swaps; creating monthly green-themed challenges for us all to try out, and better the very same Earth we all share.
